The first edition of AUTOMA International Fair of Robotics, Automatics, Control and Measurement Equipment has closed. Given the present specifics of the market, this premiere can be seen as a success.
From 19th to 21st May, on the exhibition site of Poznań International Fair, 53 companies from Poland and from abroad showcased their products. The size of the exposition was 887 m2.
Satisfied representatives of the sector
Many big and important companies belonging to the industrial automatics sector showcased their products at the fair, and their representatives' opinions of the event were mostly enthusiastic.
Among the exhibitors there were both producers of robots and robot accessories (Fanuc Robotics, Wobit, Schunk), providers of drivers (Lenze, SEW-Eurodrive, Multiprojekt) and companies dealing with different types of automatics (Apator Control, Beckhoff Automation, OEM Automatic). There were also: Schmersal, with machine guarding safety products, and companies from the measurement sector, such as Irtech and Sick, and ELFA Elektronika - a provider of a wide range of components.
A wide range of products on offer + innovations
A wide thematic range of the fair included topics connected with drivers, controlling devices, software and components for automatics.
A fair is an ideal occasion to showcase innovative products and technologies launched to the market. These were to be found on the stands of AUTOMA exhibitors, such as: Apator Control Sp. z o. o., Beckhoff Automation Sp. z o. o., Schunk Intec Sp. z o. o., Sterowniki.pl.
Crowds of Professional visitors
The fair was visited by a record high number of people. During the three days of the fair the exhibition was seen by 9673 visitors.
The exhibitors of AUTOMA also pointed out the professionalism of the audience. While, admission to the fair was free of charge for specialists (after registration), a relatively high price of tickets for the rest of the audience (PLN 40) was an effective measure against the flow of visitors not involved in the industry.
Additionally, the full registration will enable us to specify the profile of visitors. It is advantageous for the exhibitors, because they will be able to assess the effectiveness of their exhibitions. It will also prove advantageous for the companies who wish to take part in the next year's edition of the fair, because they will be able to prepare suitable marketing strategies. Moreover, in the period after AUTOMA the visitors will be informed about the news in the industry and the next edition of the fair.
Not only an exhibition
The organizers of the fair and sector partners complemented the expositions with an interesting programme of accompanying events, among others: a seminar on practical robotics, automatics, measurement and engineering questions, and a seminar on the interpretation of a new Machine Directive MD 2006/42/WE.
An interesting event at AUTOMA fair was a 3-day long „Great Robotics Event" organized by Wobit, Poznań International Fair and the Poznań University of Technology. Numerous attractions, covering over 130 m2, appealed to many fans of robotics. The attractions included races and a football cup for robots, and mini-SUMO championships. The show attracted thousands of visitors, including small children, students and professionals from the sectors of automatic, robotics, mechatronics, and many others. Each visitor could actively participate in the specially prepared attractions.
Patronage
Honorary patronage over the fair was taken by the Minister of Economy.
Business in a perfect venue
AUTOMA exposition was placed in the biggest, air-conditioned exposition hall in Poland (hall No 5). The exhibitors could present their achievements and lead business talks with the visitors in perfect conditions. They also had at their disposal a modern congress centre with its facilities.
Honoured Founders
The exhibitors of the first edition of AUTOMA were given "Founder's Certificates". As the pioneers, they are entitled to take advantage of special offers in the next editions of the fair.
Good company
The AUTOMA fair was accompanied by another premiere fair - GREENPOWER International Renewable Energy Fair, and EXPOPOWER International Power Industry Fair Exhibition.
